WEEK 13
We write the notes for our presentation of a film about friendship. The fifth point of the presentation is "Comparison" and you should choose another movie that you compare with your main film. WEEK 12
We are going to watch the French movie "Intouchables" about an unusual friendship. In that way we start the project "My Favourite Film about Friendship" where everybody is going to present one film for the whole class during week 16.

We talk about adverbs and make the distinction between adverbs and adjectives, please, make sure you did all the exercises in your workbook on pages 100-103 - correct with the Key on Fronter (Facit - adverb). You should as well do adverb exercise in your paper book together with the Green Test. 
Next week on Tuesday we will have another Verb Workshop at 8.00 o'clock. Consequently, you can try again to write the grammar test on Friday week 12. 

WEEK 10
We read about Lizzy, the "invisible girl", and her brave action on the field trip. Practice following words and even questions that you have chosen in your classes. You should be able to answer the questions and show some knowledge about what happened in the text. Why don't you try answering the questions from the other class as well - that is a good practice!

Find a famous person that comes from Canada and prepare a short presentation. You can talk about:

- Debut/First success/Breakthrough when, with what

We are going to meet an Italian class on Skype and have a "Guess-What-Country" lesson with them. Practice telling about Canada and about your Canadian without revealing the name - let the Italians guess what you talk about!

Week 48
-ING GRAMMAR
Vi använder -ingformer på verb i följande fall:
1. efter prepositionerna: at, for, by, of
He was afraid of finding..., He was famous for sailing...
2. efter is/are/was/were när det gäller gerundium: pågående tempus: He was trying... She was sailing... The were roaming...
3. efter start/stop/keep verben: He kept looking for him, She started swimming... 


DID/DIDN'T GRAMMAR
Imperfekt är ett tempus som uttrycker händelserna i dåtid. I engelska använder vi -ed eller andra formen av oregelbundna verb: Hudson sailed from England. Hudson became the first European... När vi gör frågan i dåtid då använder vi DID:
Did he sail alone?
Did he become the first European? 
Man måste använda infinitiv efter DID.
För att säga "inte" gäller samma sak:

We started reading about Canada. We are going to write a longer paper comparing Canada and Sweden week 47 so try to learn as many interesting facts and comparing points as possible. For example by watching following introduction and answering following questions:

Where can you go skiing and snowboarding?

What is the cultural resort?

How is the variety of scenic beauty?

We write the assessment about Countries on Friday week 14 - get your plan from Svatava in case you missed the lesson today.



WEEK 11
We start the new chapter called Countries - we are going to read a lot about the United States of America. This week you are supposed to read and to listen to the text "Living in the United States" at pages 58-61 at home (you can find the audio file on FC as usual). Do the exercises in Workbook (p 58-59) and practice answering following questions by heart till Friday week 11. Record your questions and answers with "HP webcam" in your computer and send the file to Svatava. I can of course hear if you are reading or not - so try to answer without looking at the text. You can, of course, read the questions to yourself.

We read the text "Catching the Tube". Practice speaking by doing the exercise F in your workbook on page 17. Write a dialogue from "the tube" together with your friend and send it to Svatava.


WEEK 38
We continue talking about Simon and discussing the pocket money in our groups. Remember that we write the test on Friday week 40 - if you want to repeat the words go to the following page:GOOD STUFF B

On Friday you should hand in the Green Test and - if you want - the Yellow Test. You should also retell the Simon's story and discuss the pocket money with your group.  

WEEK 37
We listen to the story about Simon and his lottery ticket. We retell the story in our groups: one word - one sentence! We discuss following questions about "Money":

·        What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting pocket money every week and every month?

·        Do you think children ought to do something special at home in order to get pocket money? What can you do at home to help your parents?

·        What do you normally buy yourself and what do your parents pay for? Clothes? Cinema tickets? Make-up? Handball cups? Ice-cream?...

     What do you think is an appropriate sum to get when you are thirteen years old? 

WEEK 36
We talk about "plural" and "A/An article". We practice the exercises in workbook.

We read dialogues in the textbook on page 8 and 9. Do the exercises in the workbook pn page 7-10. Practise reading the dialogue "Bargain Bike" for Svatava - do you understand all the words? Can you pronounce "CHEAP"?
